Deleting your data
You can delete your data yourself, at any time, without contacting us.
Delete your whole account
- Sign in and open Settings.
- Choose Delete account.
- Type DELETE to confirm and press the button.
- We show you a confirmation code. Keep it — you can use it below to check progress.
What happens next:
- Immediately: your channel credentials (tokens, app passwords, bot tokens, Nostr keys) are deleted, and we revoke tokens with the platform where the platform lets us. Raw data we fetched from platforms is deleted.
- Within 30 days: your posts, drafts, media files, schedules, publishing record, engagement figures, webhook logs and profile are permanently deleted.
- Backups are kept for at most 30 days and then overwritten. They never contain raw platform data. If we ever restore a backup, we re-apply all deletions before the service goes back online.
- What we keep: a record of the consents you gave (to prove what you agreed to), and security audit logs for up to 12 months. Neither contains your posts or platform data.
Disconnect one channel
In Settings or Channels, choose Disconnect on a channel. We delete that channel's credentials and any raw data we fetched from that platform straight away. Your own record of what you published there stays in your account until you delete it or your account. Engagement numbers for that channel stop updating.
You can also remove our access from the platform's side (for example, revoke the app password in Bluesky, remove the bot from your Telegram channel, or remove the app in LinkedIn's settings). App passwords and Nostr keys cannot be revoked by us, which is why we delete them immediately when you disconnect.
Ask us by email
If you cannot sign in, email join@omniposts.dev from the address on your account with the subject "Data deletion request". We confirm your identity, carry out the deletion within 30 days, and send you a confirmation code.
Facebook, Instagram and Threads users
If you removed OmniPosts from your Facebook, Instagram or Threads settings, Meta tells us automatically and we delete the data we hold from that connection. Meta gives you a confirmation code; you can check its status here.
